Reflect with purpose.
Lead with love.

Professional development workshops, reflective practice, and consulting for early childhood educators, home visitors, and the leaders who support them.

ABOUT ME

I’m Alex Flores, M.A., founder of Reflective AF Coaching & Consulting. I help early childhood educators, home visitors, and leaders bring greater awareness, purpose, and connection to their work with children and families.

I was also a child who was expelled from preschool. Today, supporting the professionals who care for young children brings my story full circle. That experience shapes my commitment to looking beyond behavior, getting curious about what someone may be experiencing, and recognizing the difference a caring relationship can make.

With more than a decade of experience across early childhood education, home visiting, maternal mental health, and program leadership working with diverse populations. I understand the demands of caring for others while supporting teams and navigating complex relationships. I hold a master’s degree in Early Childhood Education with a focus on childhood trauma.

Through trauma-responsive workshops, reflective practice groups, and consulting, I support professionals in strengthening the relationships at the heart of their work. I also specialize in father engagement, helping educators, home visitors, and leaders examine assumptions and implicit biases and build more meaningful connections with fathers and male caregivers.

My personal story and professional experience continue to shape why I do this work: to help the people who care for others feel supported, reconnect with their purpose, and bring greater intention to how they teach, support, and lead.

Lead with Love, just breathe and keep going.

    Workshops & Training

Reflective interactive, trauma-responsive workshops that create space for educators, home visitors, and leaders to reconnect with their purpose and bring greater intention to their work. Topics include core values, staff well-being, team collaboration, classroom relationships, and father engagement. Each workshop is tailored to your team, combining meaningful reflection, engaging activities, and practical strategies that strengthen how we care for ourselves and support others.

Through facilitated conversation, participants increase reflective capacity, deepen self-awareness, and strengthen relationships with colleagues and the families they support.

  • Father Engagement

    Father Engagement

Reflective training and consultation that help teams examine assumptions and implicit biases about fathers and male caregivers. Together, we explore practical ways to build trust, create welcoming environments, and make father engagement a meaningful part of everyday practice.

  • Coaching & Consulting

    Coaching & Consulting

Individualized support for professionals, leaders, and teams navigating challenges, change, and growth. Together, we create space to slow down, clarify what matters, and explore the patterns and relationships shaping your experience. Through reflective conversations, we connect your core values to everyday decisions, consider new perspectives, and identify practical next steps. Whether you’re strengthening your leadership, supporting your team, or working toward personal goals, our work centers on greater awareness, connection, and intentional action.

MY APPROACH

My approach is rooted in compassion, connection, and honest reflection. We slow down, get curious, and notice what’s coming up in our bodies. Together, we explore how our experiences, assumptions, and core values shape how we teach, support, and lead.

I bring humor, storytelling, and interactive activities that make room for real conversation. Each session responds to the people in the room, drawing on your strengths and experiences to connect reflection to everyday practice.

Parallel process is central: the care, curiosity, and respect we experience together become practices you can bring to your teams, children, and families. My goal is for you to leave feeling seen, heard, and valued, more connected to your purpose, and ready to put that reflection into action.

How you are is as important as what you do. - Jeree H. Pawl, Ph.d
